We created the Rising Legacy Slack community as a private space for multicultural women who are ready to lead with more clarity, more connection, and more confidence. Whether you’re climbing, pivoting, building, or reimagining, this space was built for you.

Why Slack?

We’re using Slack because it’s simple, flexible, and already familiar to many of our members. It allows for ongoing conversations, real-time connection, and easy access to events, tools, and prompts – all in one place. It also grows with us as our community expands.

When will I hear back once I’ve submitted my application?

Usually around 3 days. You’ll receive a personal email from Marisa welcoming you once your application is reviewed.

How long is it free for?

Applications are open now and membership is free through September 18, 2025. Then we’ll shift to a $140/year subscription, which covers our Slack Pro plan and supports the ongoing development of this space. Founding members will get full access and plenty of lead time before that switch.

Will my work cover this subscription?

Many companies have professional development or education budgets that can be used toward memberships like this – especially when it supports leadership, mentorship, or DEI-related growth. We recommend framing it as an investment in your leadership development and networking, and we’re happy to provide a receipt or a brief justification statement upon request. It can’t hurt to ask!

What makes this different from other leadership groups? 

Most leadership spaces offer generic advice or feel like surface-level networking. This isn’t that. We created this community to go deeper – a place where identity is part of the conversation, and where real growth happens through connection, reflection, and shared ambition. It’s part leadership lab, part support circle, part resource library – it’s your Rising Legacy.

Keep in mind that we’re building a curated space for multicultural women who are serious about their leadership journey, so send your invites with intention. If you know someone who aligns with our values and would thrive here, feel free to share the application link with them. We review each application to ensure the space stays supportive, focused, and rooted in trust.
